AI Quota Tracker ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that displays your usage limits for Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini. This policy explains exactly what data the extension handles.
To show your limits, the extension reads usage figures from the services you are already logged into, in your own browser session:
This information stays on your device in Chrome's extension storage. It is not sent to us or to any third‑party server. (Chrome may sync your extension storage across your own signed‑in Chrome profile, the same way it syncs your other Chrome settings — that stays within your Google account and never reaches us.)
To activate a license, the extension sends your license key directly to Polar (our merchant of record). Polar replies with an anonymous per-install activation identifier, which is stored on your device; we never receive it. After that, each time you open the extension it sends the key and that identifier to Polar to re-check that the license is still valid, and it sends them again if you release this browser so the activation can be used elsewhere. A release that cannot reach Polar is retried the next time you open the extension.
If Polar cannot be reached, the extension keeps working offline for up to 14 days from the last successful check. There is no background activity — no timer, alarm or background page contacts anyone; every one of these requests follows you opening the extension. No usage data is sent during licensing, and no browsing data or device fingerprint is ever transmitted.
Data persists on your device until you clear it or uninstall. You can remove all of it at any time from the Options page ("Clear Local Data").
